Something new, something different and the only long running Blue Man affiliated podcast, SWITCHBACK! We talk to long time radio disc jockey and paranormal investigator Jason Hayes from Parahub Radio. Jason is a part of the Florida Ghost Hunters group and runs www.parahub.org. We talk about spooky things, and funny stories from the old days of radio. On this episode, we talk to 13 year old child fiddling prodigy, Ruby Jane Smith, who has shared the stage with the likes of Willie Nelson, Big and Rich, Marty Stuart, Rhonda Vincent and many more. Ruby Jane has even been the youngest fiddler ever invited on the Grand Ole Opry stage. Special thanks to Mike Dowler for arranging this interview. Now, long after the incident, she is back in competition, with an autobiographical book, documentary film and future feature film in the works. Faith, hope and inspiration is what makes this determine soul never give up. On this episode we talk about the series of upcoming Blue Man Group fan meets being held world wide this year, and share some other blue man related news. We also talk to the official executive producer and interview manager of Switchback, Mike Dowler from Santa Clarita,CA. We talk to singer/songwriter and top 10 chart veteran from 1971 Tom Shipley from the duo group, "Brewer and Shipley." We discuss a little about how their hit song, "One Toke Over The Line" excelled them into overnight fame with Vietnam Veterans, and later how the song was pulled from the airwaves due to some controversy over the lyrics. We also talk about Tom's passion for film making and documenting in all the areas of interest that bring him joy. Born in Chicago, Illinois, 16-year-old Rebecca Brown showed her interests in music at a very early age, when she was 18 months old she would hum the whole entire Nutcracker Suite. Now, a few years after the release of the feature film, "School of Rock" featuring Jack Black, Rebecca talks with Joe Burke on Switchback about music, acting, life and current projects.
