Blue Man Group on IMAX?

The Blue Man Group has pacted with producer Charlotte Huggins ("Journey to the Center of the Earth") to star in their first film. The musical will be made for Imax 3-D with an eye toward a wider release on standard-sized digital 3-D screens. The original Blue Man stage trio of Matt Goldman, Chris Wink and Phil Stanton will star.

  • Rullon : Blue Man Group's press release announcement of the IMAX said the anticipated release is Summer 2010.

  • MusLtngBlue : It's not slated to begin shooting until sometime in 2009, and post-production work, especially with stuff like I'm sure BMG will be doing, will take a while.  I'd say don't expect it until late 2009 at the very earliest, probably 2010
